Rolling 30's Crip History

The West Side Rolling 30’s Original Harlem Crips (OHC) started out in the early 1970’s as the Harlem Godfathers in the Jefferson Park area of Los Angeles, California and later became sanctioned as a Crip set sometime in the late 1970’s. W/S Rollin 30’s OHC consists of smaller individual “lines” which include the Avenues, Denker Park, 35th Street, 37th Street, and 39th Street. The original lines are Denker Park, 39th Street and the Avenues, The 35th street line and 37th Street lines started in the mid 1990’s.

They mainly beef with the West Side Rolling 20’s Neighborhood Bloods, which is a war that has been going on since the late 1970’s. They are also known to beef with the Almighty Black P Stone Bloods (Jungles) and the Rollin 40’s Crips.

Their original turf (head quarters) is the area between Jefferson (north), King Blvd (south), Crenshaw (west) and Normandie (east). A small part of their turf extends east onto Vermont between Exposition (north) and King Blvd (south). They have the second largest turf of all black gangs in Los Angeles, a little bit smaller than the Eight Trey Gangster Crips.

The West Side Rolling 30’s OHC’s have spread far beyond California into other States like New Jersey, North Carolina, Colorado and even into countries like Honduras and Belize. W/S Rolling 30’s OHC members from Belize moved to New York City in the mid 1980’s and started the East Side Rolling 30’s Harlem Mafia Crips (HMC) in East Harlem, which was the first Los Angeles based gang ever to set up in New York City. Even though Rolling 30’s HMC is and operates as it’s own gang independent from the OHC’s, they keep the “Rolling 30’s” in their set name to show homage to their beginings and keep a very close friendship with OHC’s that are in New York City and the East Coast. East Side Rolling 30’s HMC has also branched out and gave birth to other Rolling 30’s Crip gangs in New York City including East Side Rolling 30’s Dominican Mafia Crip (DMC), East Side Rolling 30’s Hondurian Mafia Crip, East Side Rolling 30’s Hatian Mafia Crip, and East Side Rolling 30’s Silent Murder Crip.
